‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell will be wrestling at this month’s SummerSlam. He’s being partnered up with Neville aka The Red Arrow to take on Wade Barrett and Stardust. There has been a lot of jawing via Twitter coming from WWE star Stardust towards Amell since a little altercation at Monday Night Raw back in May. Amell was “invited” to last night’s event of Raw and sat ringside. Obviously, a big publicity stunt by the WWE, but we are okay with it. Stardust came out and provoked Amell into the ring by shoving him by his face. Amell hopped the barrier and speared Stardust in the ring before being restrained by three security guards.
Amell has been very vocal on social media about how he feels about Stardust and that he would see him soon enough. Amell has wanted to be in the ring for a while, even mentioning it at his Q&A panel back at New York Comic Con last October. The amount of people that will now be watching SummerSlam will go up exponentially, seeing as Amell has over four million followers on Facebook. The annual Summer event for the WWE will cost $54.99 if you purchase it thru your cable provider. If you sign up for The WWE Network it is only $9.99. Either way, the WWE will severely benefit from Amell appearing at the event, and Amell will live out a dream. Tune into SummerSlam on August 23rd on Pay Per View or WWE Network.
