We interviewed Dani Mathers over a year ago after she was announced as Playboy PMOY, but this really sheds a new light on to some things. Whether this photo was meant to be private or not….the thousands of people that follow her saw it on Snapchat, including us. Despicable, does not begin to describe what kind of an act this is. The amount of backlash she has received for this is more than deserved and frankly we want no part of being associated with someone that does this.
In an extremely sad excuse for an apology, she claimed that she was new to Snapchat? Seriously?! She has been a daily poster for close to a year, if not longer, so using that as an excuse for how she posted that publicly is the biggest cop out we have seen. It doesn’t matter if it was meant to be a private conversation or public, the fact that the photo was taken in the first place it was should concern everyone. We will be pulling her photos from our social media and her article from our website as well to support not only the lady that was body shamed in the gym, but for all people that have been bullied in the past.
As an overweight individual myself, I could not be more offended by this if I tried, and she should be mortified by the amount of backlash she will be receiving. The life of an overweight individual can sometimes be rough as it is, but to have someone blatantly go out of their way to post something like this is shameful. She better get a home gym, because no gym will ever give her a membership after this. It’s not only a horrific act personally…but it is an actual crime and the police have been notified of the incident by the LA Fitness where it occurred. It will take a lot for Mathers to regain her fans and the respect that she had before this incident. Some people have short memories, but she will now be remembered for this horrible incident instead of being Playmate of the Year.
Companies and individuals have already started cutting ties with Mathers after this event, and the backlash will continue as the days and weeks go on.
