Universal Studios has announced that in Fast and Furious 7 that they will not kill off Paul Walker‘s character Brian O’Connor. They will “retire” him during the film, using the footage that has already been filmed. Instead of scrapping the entire movie and reshooting, the studio will rewrite what has not been filmed, and has also pushed back the release of the film until April 2015. After the fatal car crash that took Walker’s life back in November, the studio had been scrambling to try and figure out what will happen with the blockbuster franchise. I for one, am ecstatic that the studio decided to not have Walker’s character die in a crash of some sort, or cancel the film all together.
