Carrie Fisher has passed away after a heart attack on an airplane flying from London to Los Angeles on December 23rd. She was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles when the flight landed before passing away at 8:55AM on December 27th. She leaves behind a daughter Billie Lourd, who is also an actress.
Ms. Fisher was best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars original trilogy. She was in her early 20’s when the films came to light and has been the woman of all of our dreams for close to 40 years. Ms. Fisher also filmed Episode 7 and had finished filming all of her scenes for Episode 8 which is due out in December 2018. Ms. Fisher was in countless films and television shows over her career. She was also a writer and a producer on several projects. When she wasn’t on set you could find her at several comic conventions where she would be surrounded by her adoring fans, a lot of which dressed like her character, Princess Leia, or General Leia Organa as she is seen in the newest Star Wars films.
The day after Ms. Fisher passed away, her mother, actress Debbie Reynolds passed away at the age of 84. Debbie Reynolds was best known for her role in Halloweentown and Singing in the Rain. Reynolds and Fisher will be buried together in a small family burial on Friday January 6th.
They will both be severely missed by their fans, young and old. May the Force Be With both of them.
