The New England Patriots have cut ties with Linebacker Brandon Spikes after his car was abandoned after an accident over the weekend. Spikes’ 2011 Mercedes Maybach was in a mysterious accident Sunday morning at approximately 3:20 AM when OnStar was contacted after what the driver said was an accident with a deer crossing the street. When the police arrived there was no one with the vehicle. There was also no indication that a deer was hit either.
The police were then notified of a vehicle being rear-ended not far from where the other accident occurred. The occupants of the vehicle did not see who hit them and they were taken to the hospital for precautions.
The Patriots must not want another type of scandal on their hands after what has been going with the “DeflateGate” involving Brady and 2 locker room attendants. The only amount of money that Spikes will receive from the Patriots will be his $25,000 signing bonus for being on the team since May 18th. We will keep track of this story and keep you updated.
