Just announced at San Diego Comic Con, Ben Affleck will direct, star in and co-write a future standalone Batman film. The movie will be produced by Warner Bros. Studio and DC Comics, and his co-writer will be the amazing Geoff Johns. Johns is the Chief Creative Officer for DC Comics’ and already has some film credits under his belt, including the much anticipated Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice that comes out next year.
Reportedly already on the same page with their ideas, Affleck and Johns will work on the script through the summer, before Affleck leaves to direct an adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s novel, Live by Night this November.
There has been no official word on what the plot will be of the film, but it will supposedly take place after Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League: Part One
